These 16-inch AR-15 upper receivers are built in-house by expert builders with over 40 years of experience. I don't find the forward assist to be particularly helpful. I was specifically looking to build a 16" upper with a medium contour barrel because the lightweight stuff I shoot now gets really hot with sustained fire.
